Meet Our Doctors
Dr. Robert Nudera grew up in Aurora and attended high school at Marmion Academy. His formal education began at Creighton University in Omaha, NE for his undergraduate degree. He continued on to the University of Illinois Chicago for his dental training, earning his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Dr. Nudera completed his General Practice Residency at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, IL before returning to the University of Illinois Chicago for his orthodontic training and Master of Science degree. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics.
Dr. Nudera is involved in various continuing education programs, ranging from Damon® and Invisalign® programs to AAO lectures and local dental study clubs. His many hours of continuing education keeps him up-to-date with the most current treatment techniques, modalities, and technologies in the fields of not only orthodontics but also in dentistry as a whole.

Dr. Nudera currently lives in Northbrook, IL with his wife, Lina, and their two sons R.J. and Luke. When he’s not at work, Dr. Nudera enjoys spending as much time with his family as possible, especially doing outdoor activities such as running, biking, and skiing. In the evenings, he can also be found lost in a good book.
Dr. James Nudera grew up in Aurora and attended high school at Marmion Academy. His formal education began at the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He continued on to dental school, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Dentistry from the University of Illinois Chicago, as well as his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. While still at the University of Illinois Chicago, Dr. Nudera completed his orthodontic training and Master’s degree in Oral Science. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics.
In order to stay up-to-date on current techniques and be aware of future advances in both product development and future orthodontic techniques, Dr. Nudera continues his education through courses in Invisalign® and the Damon® System, as well as through participation in local study clubs. This gives him the opportunity to collaborate on current cases and future treatments in all facets of the dental and orthodontic fields.

Dr. Nudera currently resides in St. Charles, about five minutes from our South Elgin office location, with his wife, Kim, and two daughters, Kaitlyn and Kelsey. His leisure time is spent with his family, though he does enjoy a round or two of golf!
Meet Our Staff
I help our patients through the process of orthodontics by assisting Drs. Jim and Bob with patient care, as well as by taking X-rays and making lingual retainers and study models. When patients are nervous about getting braces, I always reassure them that the end result is worth it! Seeing their smiles and hearing a simple “thank you” can really make my day. I’ve learned so much in the past 12 years I’ve worked here and am very grateful to be a part of this team.
At home, I enjoy spending time with my husband, three children, and one granddaughter.
I work alongside Dr's. Bob and Jim with patient care, as well as by taking impressions and ordering supplies. I love making people smile, so working in orthodontics is a perfect fit for me! Everyone in our office is so fun and caring, and we all work as a team to create awesome smiles for each patient we treat. I really enjoy working with patients and being part of creating their new smile.
My career in dentistry began in 1989, and I recently joined our South Elgin office where I assist our doctors, work with patients, and create impressions. I love taking care of patients and making them feel comfortable. It is always a sight to see the beautiful smiles on their faces!
I live with my husband, two children, and two dogs. In my free time I enjoy going for walks, playing softball, making jewelry, and spending time with friends and family.
I love working at Nudera Orthodontics! I enjoy getting to greet patients with a smile and ensure they have a great experience while at our office. We have a great team of pleasant people who work together seamlessly to provide the best possible experience for our patients.
